Step 1
1. Using two pairs of channel locks grasp the cartridge from the top and bottom and turn them against each other in a loosening direction as shown. DO NOT GRASP BY THE RUBBER GASKET, THEY WILL GET DAMAGED AND CAUSE A LEAK.

2. Once the cartridge is loosened, you can disassemble it by turning the top and bottom parts with your hands.

3. Carefully continue to turn so that the parts inside the cartridge do not get dropped, lost or damaged.

4. When done unthreading the top and bottom of the cartridge can be separated.
Step 5
5. Disassemble the bottom portion of the cartridge as shown.

6. Set down the parts to be cleaned.

7. The top part of the cartridge can now be disassemble.

8. Gently remove the locking clip at the top. If unabel to be remove by hand you can use a small flat screw driver or needle-nose pliers.

9. Once the clip is removed you can either push or gently tap out the shaft as shown.

10. You can now disassemble the top parts of the cartridge to be cleaned.

11. These are the parts of the cartridge make sure you have them all.
Step 12
12. Use a brush or toothbrush along with a solvent to thoroughly clean the cartridge. DO NOT USE A CHEMICAL TO STRONG, IT COULD BURN OR MELT THE RUBBER GASKETS.

13. After cleansing all parts of the cartridge they are now ready to be lubricated or greased.
Step 14
14. For best results lubricate all the parts of the cartridge.

15a. You can also lubricate the rubber gaskets so that the cartridge operates smoothly.

16. The turning shaft control can also be greased for a smoothness operation.

17. After all the parts have been lubed, they are now ready to be put back together.

18. Assemble the cartridge the same way as it was departed.

19. The cartridge is now ready to be installed.
